Stranger at the DoorUpon its shining door, upon its infinite carvings, I put my own fist to the solid shimmering steel,
and knocked.
I waited.
I knocked again. Louder. Harder.
Finally the door opened, and I got a glimpse inside. I was taken aback, and I stared for a moment for within the beautiful fortress, a stranger looked out at me.
I was startled and disturbed by the stranger at the door.
I turned and ran away.
I scaled the high, hard walls. I bolted from the building.
